The CGS Sisters in Malaysia were formerly a part of the Community of the Companions of Jesus the Good Shepherd
in the UK. They became an autonomous community in 1978. Their Rule is based on that of St Augustine and their ministry
is mainly parish work.

Since October 2000, the Sisters have moved to Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, and have settled in at Likas,
just opposite to Christ Church. The Diocesan Bishop, the Most Revd Yong Ping Chung, has assigned the old Bishop's
Lodge for us as the new site of our Convent. He also appointed the Rector of Christ Church, the Revd Canon Fred
David, as our chaplain. In Kota Kinabalu, the Community, with the help of the associates, see the need to supply
wafers to the Diocese and to gather the associates to pray for the Diocese.
